HI ALI
Challenge Accepted!
First to lose 3 pound? ONly Kidden?
I need to loose about 4 stone but 3 sounds like a nice number.
DO a weigh in and take note - I suggest starting Sunday (after wedding) yum yum, ha ha
Ready steady go!
By the way, I have to warn you, I am competitive and will therefore annihilate you. Grrrrrrrr!
See you tonight.

First weigh-in
First post: Getting started

Well, having got to my heaviest weight ever (weighing tonight (30/04/09) so will allude to the starting weight then...) I needed desparately to kick start the whole weight loss process, everything else wasn't working... hence the Sumo2Supremo challenge to my friend and pastor, Phil.
Some of you, understandably, will be grossed out and appalled at how people like me let ourselves go so badly... I am too, but it's happened and I've got to sort it out before I grow to more gargantuan proportions.
Can I persuade you to reserve judgement, slip into the shoes of a very ordinary fatty
for a mile or two now and then and see if you come out of this experience feeling the same?
Perhaps through following this blog you'll be able to come to a more realistic understanding as to the mindset... ... if you share this kind of mindset I hope something written here may be the trigger you need (that ever elusive mental switch) to help you on your way. I pray that you to discover your worth and come to a more balanced opinion of yourself.
It's a journey I've just started on just a couple of months back with CBT, and probably 5 years
ago when I joined Liberty and when they started to show me that I am loved unconditionally, I have a place in this life and even though I don't realise it others appreciate some of the little things that make me me, it's taken a heck of a long time to even get this far, but I'm excited now and on the move...
As for Phil, well he's a bloke so it'll be far more straightforward no doubt :o) He's just getting fit again after a horrible rugby injury two years ago and needs to shift some pounds too... I can't speak for him, so hopefully he'll come on and give you some background at some point...
off to weigh in... big gulp... do I really want to tell the World?!?
